Broncos Meet Wolf Pack on Saturday

1/17/2025 10:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball

WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State women's basketball will conclude a two-game homestand on Saturday, Jan. 18, with a matchup against Nevada. The contest will tip off at 2 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena and will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos (13-6, 3-3 MW) are coming off a blowout victory over San Jose State on Wednesday. Boise State won 93-64, marking the first time the squad has scored 90+ points against three Division I opponents since the 2014-15 season.

DYNAMIC DUO: The duo of Natalie Pasco and Tatum Thompson continue to bring the pressure, scoring 26 and 25 points, respectively to topple the Spartans. The performances marked the third consecutive game Boise State has had a pair of 20+ point scorers, a feat that has occurred for the first time during Gordy Presnell's tenure and has happened only four times in MW history.

REMEMBER THE NAME: Pasco has been on another level as of late. The junior guard is coming off a season-high 26 points against the Spartans, and is the first Bronco to score 20+ points in three consecutive contests since A'Shanti Coleman did so in five-straight games in the 2019-20 season. The Danville, Calif., native leads the MW in 3-point percentage (40.8%), and moved into sole possession of fourth place in program history with 170 long balls. With 982 career points, Pasco needs just 18 points to become the third Bronco this season to join the 1,000 point club.

REMEMBER THE NAME – PART II: Thompson enters the game against the Wolf Pack (8-11, 3-3) following the best stretch of her career. The junior recorded back-to-back double-doubles, becoming the first Bronco to do so since teammate Abby Muse did so in the 2022-23 season. The Woodinville, Wash., native is shooting 52.5% from the floor in league-play, the fourth-highest mark, and her 7.5 rebounds per game is the fifth-highest among MW players.

CONFERENCE HISTORY: Presnell enters the contest with 258 victories as a MW head coach, tied with Don Flanagan (New Mexico, 1999-11) for the third-most in conference history. Presnell, who recently signed a contract extension to keep him with the Broncos through the 2028-29 season, can move into sole possession of third place with a victory.

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS: Saturday's game against Nevada is the BroncoBOLD Mental Health Matters game and will feature an increased focus on mental health awareness. Pregame community events and in-game messaging will center on connection, resources and general mental health awareness.
