Broncos Record Top-Three Finishes at Princeton Fall Classic

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Boise State women's cross country team placed first in the Princeton Fall Classic, Friday, while the men's team finished third.

To capture first place, the women collected 55 points as a team. Three Broncos posted top-10 finishes, with Kaiya Robertson, Bianca Böhnke, and Hanna Ackermann collecting three, seven and 10 points, respectively.

Robertson concluded the race behind Morgan Nokes (Utah Valley) and Anna McNatt (Princeton). She posted a time of 20:09.1.

Additionally, the women's team had two other athletes complete the race in the top 20, with Amit Koma earning 15 points, and Emily Jobes tallying 20. Nanette Novak finished 26th and Abby Kendrick was 57th.

Registering 138 points, Boise State's men's team ended the meet in third. Patrick Kiprop was the first Bronco to cross the finish line, taking sixth, with a time of 23:08.7.

Meshack Kuyo (7) and Alex Thompson (9) collected a combined 16 points to finish in the top 10. Christian Graham was in the top 20 and notched 17 points.

Notables
  • With 55 points, the women's team recorded their first victory since the LC State Invitational on Oct. 19, 2024.
  • Additionally, the women's team bested two schools from the ACC (Pittsburgh and Syracuse) and one Big Ten institution (Rutgers).
  • Kaiya Robertson crossed the finish line in third place, behind runners from Princeton and Utah Valley.
  • Ackermann, Boehnke, Koma, Novak and Robertson recorded personal bests in the 6k, while Boehnke and Ackermann finished in the top 10.
  • Taking third place, the men finished ahead of two Big Ten schools (Penn State and Rutgers), three schools from the ACC (Boston College, Pittsburgh and Syracuse), one school from the Big East (Providence) and one from the SEC (Oklahoma).
  • Patrick Kiprop was Boise State's top finisher in the men's 8k. He placed sixth with a time of 23:08.7.
  • Meshack Kuyo and Alex Thompson finished in the top 10.

What's Next
Boise State will compete tomorrow morning at the George Oja Invitational in Independence, Oregon. Tomorrow's race is hosted by Linfield, who is a member of the Northwest Conference.
