
Broncos Claim Two Titles at MW Indoor Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Landon Helms became the first Bronco since 2012 to win the indoor Mountain West heptathlon while Kaiya Robertson, Alyssa Cullen, Janiah Brown and Yasmin Marghini claimed the top spot in the women's distance medley relay as Boise State concluded competition at the MW Indoor Championships.

Emily Stefan got the Broncos started in the women's pentathlon on day one, setting a 149-point personal best, good for fifth place in the meet and second in Boise State history. The Broncos then saw Robertson, Cullen, Brown and Marghini team up in the women's DMR, clocking an 11:20.20 to win the event.

Alex Thompson, Dalton Wild, Angus Fitzgerald, and Tom Graham-Marr capped off day one by earning bronze in the men's DMR with a 9:46.14, the second-fastest mark in program history.

Day two was highlighted by Helms' heptathlon victory. The junior set personal bests in the 60-meters and 60m hurdles en route to a score of 5,650 points, improving his previous best and remaining second in school history.

The Broncos secured four podium finishes on the final day of action, beginning with Robertson's silver medal performance in the women's mile. This marked the second-consecutive season Robertson has medaled in the event, improving from third in 2024. Boise State then claimed two third-place finishes: Brown in the women's 800-meters, followed by Marghini in the women's 3000-meters. Marghini earned third place for the second-consecutive season.

Boise State finished the competition with another second-place finish, as Trevor Cogley, Josh Green, Wild and Helms ran the third-fastest 4x400-meter relay time in program history (3:12.31).
