LAS VEGAS – Boise State hit four home runs and posted a 10-2 mercy-rule win over UNLV, Friday.

The Broncos (24-11, 3-5 Mountain West) have belted nine home runs and scored 24 runs over the first-two games of the series.

Brooklynn Pettis put Boise State on the board with a three-run home run in the top of the first. Megan Lake scored on a passed ball later in the frame for a 4-0 lead.

The Rebels (18-16, 2-6) scored once in the bottom of the first, but Mykenzie Hanna got the run right back with a solo home run in the top of the second, her third round-tripper of the series.

UNLV picked up a run in the bottom of the second to close within 5-2. Again, Boise State had an immediate response when Chloe Hughes plated Quinn Southerland with an infield single in the third.

In the fourth, Makenzie Butt and Lake each added two-run home runs to provide the run-rule margin.

The series concludes, Sunday with first pitch scheduled for noon PT/1 p.m. MT.

- Butt drove in two runs and her 48 RBI this season are 10th on Boise State's single-season list.
- Mykenzie Hanna raised her home run total to 14, tied for seventh in Bronco single-season history.
- Julianne Rose pitched three shutout innings to earn the win.
- Sophia was 1-for-3 to become the third Bronco in history (Rebekah Cervantes and Kora Wade) to have two seasons with 70 or more hits.
