Joe Hudson Breaks 10,000-Meter School Record as Broncos Conclude Competition in California

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State's two-meet weekend was highlighted by Joe Hudson's record-breaking performance in the 10,000-meter. Hudson finished in 28.23.68, more than 20 seconds faster than the previous record.

At the Stanford Invite, three Broncos set top-five program marks. Yasmin Marghini recorded the fourth-fastest 5,000-meter time, running 15:46.12. In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Emily Jobes improved her personal best, moving from fourth to third on the program's all-time list with a time of 10:03.05. Tom Graham-Marr also set the second-fastest 5,000m time in Boise State history, finishing in 13:39.39.

Alex Thompson also impressed in the men's 5,000m at the Mike Fanelli classic, winning the event in a field of 166 runners, setting a near one-minute personal record.

In the field, Alexee Kline placed second in the hammer throw with a personal best of 46.92m, and Calvin Bostic finished third in the shot put.

Notables:

Boise State recorded four top-five program marks.

The Broncos recorded a combined 38 personal bests.

What's Next

Boise State will compete in another split-meet weekend, with events April 10-11 in Azusa, California, in the Bryan Clay Multi Event and in Nampa, Idaho on April 12 at the NNU Open.
