Broncos Set to Compete in 56th Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

WHAT'S NEXT: Following a fifth-place finish in the Palouse Collegiate, Boise State men's golf will compete in the 56th Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Taking place at Eisenhower Golf Club (par 72 — 7,541 yards), the three-day, 54-hole event takes place Sept. 20-22.

TEE TIMES: On Saturday and Sunday, tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. MT. The invitational commences at 7:30 a.m. MT on Monday.

LAST TIME OUT: In the Palouse Collegiate (Sept. 9-10), the Broncos collectively shot an 829 (-23) and placed fifth in the 12-team event. Cole Rueck (-8; T-9th), Gavyn Knight (-7; T-13th) and Seth Jones (-5; T-22nd) posted top-25 finishes.

2024-25: The Broncos finished the 2024-25 campaign with an 88-63-3 record, signifying massive improvement from the previous year. Collectively, Boise State posted five top-three finishes, highlighted by the team's victory in the UC Santa Barbara Gaucho Invitational.

AN EXPERIENCED SQUAD: Head Coach David Trainor is entering his fourth season at the helm and is returning seven golfers from last year's team, including five upperclassmen. New to the squad is Grant Potter and Ryan Shepherd, who are from Hayden and Boise, Idaho, respectively.

RUECK RETURNS FOR SENIOR SEASON: Cole Rueck returns for his senior season, fresh off his second-consecutive All-Mountain West selection. He placed in the top-10 on six occasions a year ago, and was victorious in the Genesis Collegiate Showcase, Loyola Intercollegiate and Battle of Idaho. With 11 top-10 finishes in his career, including on this year, Rueck is in sole possession of sixth place in program history.
