Boise State Hit Parade Produces a Pair of Wins

In their win over the Matadors (1-3), the Broncos (3-2) set a school record for runs in an inning with a 16-run seventh.

Boise State trailed 5-1 after four innings marking the first time since March 18, 2018 it overcame a four-run deficit in the fifth inning or later to win away from home.

Flindt started the comeback with a three-run home run, her first of the season. Marissa Gonzalez tied the game with an RBI-double and Talia Jenkins capped a five-run fifth with a sacrifice fly to put the Broncos on top 6-5.

Boise State added a couple of insurance runs in the sixth and then sent 21 batters to the plate in the seventh, including 13 hits. Chloe Hughes reached base three times in the frame with a walk, hit by pitch and RBI-single.

Alyssa Flindt and Rustie Riley each collected an RBI-single in their first at bat as a Bronco and Molly Hodge plate two with a single in her debut at bat.

Against the Vikings (0-3), the Broncos jumped out to a 3-0 in the first. Mya Flindt knocked in two runs with a double and added a run on an RBI-fielder's choice by Stroh.

Jorja Crider homered and Kaylee Vieira delivered an RBI-single in the third to extend the lead to 5-1.

The Broncos finished the game with a five-run sixth, capped by an RBI-single by Stroh and a run-scoring single by Hollie Farmer.
