Broncos Set Multiple Program Marks in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Boise State track and field athletes set two all-time program marks and added several top-five finishes as competition concluded in Spokane.

Landon Helms highlighted the meet by breaking the school record in the heptathlon, scoring 5,776 points in his first multi of the indoor season. Helms surpassed the previous mark of 5,771, set in 2012 by two-time Olympian Kurt Felix. He won six of the seven events in the competition, marking his second school record of the indoor season.

On the track, freshmen Priscilla Adu-Gyamfi and Chase Lawyer continued their strong debut indoor campaigns with top-five program performances. Adu-Gyamfi posted the fifth-fastest 200-meter time in school history at 24.23 seconds, while Lawyer improved his own standing in the record book by clocking 7.92 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, the fifth-fastest time in program history. Lawyer also won the event.

In the field, Victoria Lotz delivered a standout performance, winning both the weight throw (18.25m) and the shot put (15.20m). The victories were her third and fourth of the indoor season. On the men's side, Tanner Nett added a win in the shot put, taking first place with a personal-best mark of 17.76m.
