WHAT'S NEXT
Boise State volleyball will travel to Pocatello, Idaho for the Orange and Black Classic from Sept. 17-19. The Broncos will face Wyoming, Pacific and the host of the tournament, Idaho State.

THE SCHEDULE
The Broncos (6-4) will take on the Cowgirls (4-4) on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. MT to open the tournament. Boise State will take on Pacific (4-5) on Friday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. MT. On the final day of the tournament, the Broncos will face Idaho State (7-2) on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. MT.

BOISE STATE VERSUS THE FIELD
Wyoming leads the all-time series against Boise State 20-19 and at neutral sites 4-1. The last time the two teams faced off was in Mountain West Conference play on Nov. 6, 2025 where the Cowgirls defeated the Broncos 3-1 in Bronco Gym. Friday's contest will mark the 12th time Pacific and Boise State meet. The Tigers lead the all-time series 10-1 and at neutral sites 3-1. The last time the two teams went head-to-head the Broncos defeated the Tigers 3-0 at a neutral site. The Blue and Orange hosted Idaho State on Sept. 5, 2026 where the Bengals defeated the Broncos 3-2 during the Boise State Classic. Boise State owns the all-time series 39-35, but Idaho State leads the series at Pocatello 17-14.

SCOUTING OUT THE OPPONENTS
The Cowgirls currently hold a 4-4 record after hosting a tournament against UC Santa Barbara, South Dakota and Colorado State. Wyoming picked up one win against UC Santa Barbara, but lost to South Dakota and Colorado State. Pacific (4-5) is coming off a 0-3 weekend at the Borderland Classic against UTEP, New Mexico State and UC San Diego. Idaho State (7-2) went 3-0 at the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic against Tennessee Tech, Little Rock and Air Force.

BOISE STATE INVITATIONAL
The Broncos swept Sacramento State, Saint Mary's and Eastern Washington last weekend at the Boise State Invitational. Amelia Hansen earned Boise State Invitational MVP after posting 17 blocks and 21 kills. Sydney Dreves, Tehya Maeva and Azlynn Tittmann were named to the all-tournament team.

TUESDAY'S MATCHUP
No. 25 BYU swept Boise State 3-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 8 in ExtraMile Arena. Tittmann led the team in kills against BYU (10) and tallied her third double-figure match in kills. Maeva put up her sixth-consecutive match leading the team in assists (15). Freshman Jenelle Legates notched 10 assists. Hansen added eight kills.

PAC-12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hansen became the second student-athlete in the program to earn Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 16) after tallying 19 blocks and 29 kills against No. 25 BYU, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's and Eastern Washington. Melia Barlow was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1) after posting 52 digs and 16 assists during the Bulldog Invitational. The senior libero led the team in digs and service aces in all three contests to become the first Bronco to earn a Pac-12 weekly award.

LEADING THE PAC
Boise State currently leads the Pac-12 in sweeps with six. Barlow leads the conference in digs with a total of 149.

RECORD BREAKING ATTENDANCE
Boise State volleyball marked the highest attended volleyball match in the state of Idaho with 2,166 fans in ExtraMile Arena against BYU on Sept. 8.

BOISE STATE CLASSIC HONORS
Dreves earned Boise State Classic MVP after tallying 40 kills, eight blocks, five service aces and 22 digs. Barlow and Tittmann were named to the all-tournament team. Barlow put up 45 digs and 13 assists during the tournament. Tittmann recorded 32 kills and 17 digs.

300 WINS
Head coach Shawn Garus earned his 300th career win at Boise State after a 3-0 win against North Dakota State. Last season, Garus tallied his 400th career victory as a collegiate head coach. In his 25th year coaching collegiate volleyball, Garus holds a 421-333 career record and a 304-213 record at Boise State.

THE WINNING WAY
The Blue and Orange recorded a 20-11 record in 2025, setting their 10th winning season in the last 11 campaigns under Garus.

PAC-12 PRESEASON
Barlow, Dreves and Maeva have all been named to the Preseason Pac-12 Impact List. As voted on by the league's head coaches, Boise State was ranked number four on the 2026 Pac-12 predicted order of finish.

WHAT'S BACK
Boise State returns five Broncos from the 2025 season which includes Dreves (OH), Kendall Hastings (MB), Hallee Heath (MB), Giselle Paedon (OH) and Reese Weinert (MB).

WHAT'S NEW
The Broncos added nine newcomers, including four transfers and five true freshmen. The transfers include Barlow (L, Northern Arizona), Athena Cox (MB, Cal Baptist), Hansen (OH, SMU), and Maeva (S, Syracuse). The freshmen include Reese Hone (L/DS, Idaho Falls, Idaho), Legates (S, Los Altos, Calif.), Savannah Sheridan (OH, Temecula, Calif.), Sadie Snyder (OH, Goodyear, Ariz.) and Tittmann (OH, Corrales, N.M.).
