Kennedy Cox, the daughter of Justin and Amanda Cox, officially joined Boise State Soccer as a Team IMPACT player on July 31, 2025.

At just three years old, Kennedy suffered a pediatric stroke on Christmas Day in 2021 while visiting family in Kuna, Idaho. She spent five days in the pediatric intensive care unit, where her family was told she might never walk again.

Today, Kennedy has defied those expectations. Now eight years old, she is walking, running and inspiring the Boise State soccer team with her courage, resilience and unwavering determination.

Through Team IMPACT, Kennedy has become an important part of the Broncos family, demonstrating the power of perseverance and the impact of belonging.

ABOUT TEAM IMPACT
Team IMPACT’s unique multiyear program matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Our mission is to guide children and teams alike in a mutually beneficial relationship of belonging, empowerment and resilience.

Through this program, our vision is to create a world where every child facing serious illness and disability feels supported by something bigger and every team is transformed by a greater purpose. When we’re all in together, we all win together.
