Teachers Spring Upset Over Junior College Eleven at Homecoming
ALBION, Idaho – Coach "Jake" Jacobson's Albion Normal eleven upset the dope here Saturday when they trimmed Boise Junior College 13 to 6 to climax Albion's Homecoming.
The Teachers scored twice in the first half, the first touchdown coming in the initial period when Horsley's pass over the goal line was blocked from one Normal receiver only to be snagged by his teammate, Thomas. Albion's second touchdown came in the second quarter after a recovered punt.
The invaders threatened twice before scoring their lone touchdown. Albion intercepted a pass on its own 20-yard line to halt the first threat, and held for four downs on the five-yard line to block the second. Almost immediately thereafter, however, the Boise eleven took the ball on Normal's 20 after a short kick, tried two plays, and then passed. The ball was juggled, with Orbea finally catching it to score standing up.

First Quarter
In the first three minutes of the game Albion got the ball on the 35-yard line and Gruwell made a long end run to the 7-yard line, lost yardage back to the 16, and here Horsley passed. It was knocked down by two players, but Thomas caught it and went over standing up. Kidd kicked the extra point.
Second Quarter
Albion got the ball on the 45-yard line on a fumbled punt. By a series of line plunges by Parke and end runs by Gruwell they placed the ball on the 16-yard line. Gruwell threw a pass to Bell, who went over standing up, for a second touchdown for the Teachers.
Third Quarter
A long pass from Shaw of Boise to Orbea, sent the latter to the 5-yard line before he was brought down. Albion held for four down and punted a shot one to the 20-yard line. On the third down Shaw Boise, threw another pass. It was knocked by two opposite players but Orbea caught it before it hit the ground and went over standing up for Boise Junior College's first touchdown.
Fourth Quarter
Played mostly in the mid-field, with Albion threatening in the last two minutes.
