Broncos Close Out Fall Campaign at Eugene

The Broncos look to end the fall season on a high note as they travel to Eugene, Ore., for the Oregon Duck Invitational (Nov. 1-3).

WHAT IS HAPPENING
- The Broncos men's tennis team will be sending four of their athletes to the University of Oregon this weekend for the Oregon Duck Invitational.
- The tournament will take place Nov. 1-3
- This will be the final tournament of the fall.
- In singles the Broncos will be represented by Wyatt DeMulling entering the tournament at 5-3 overall, along with Simon Arca Costas (5-3), Blake Bayldon (5-4), and Kyryll Kryvchun (8-2).
- With an 8-2 overall record in singles Kryvchun has had an impressive run this fall. He will be coming off a strong performance at ITA Mountain Region Championships (Oct. 16-20) where he went 3-1 with an appearance in the quarterfinals.
- In doubles, the Blue and Orange pairs will consist of Bayldon and Arca Costas, as well as Kryvchun and DeMulling. This will be the first time this season that we have seen this pairs lineup.
- Bayldon and Kryvchun have been the most successful doubles team for Boise State this fall with the best overall record of 7-2. In addition, to going undefeated (4-0) at the Dar Walters Fall Classic (Sept. 20-22), they also reached the semifinals of the ISU Fall Invitational (Oct. 4-6) and the round of 16 during the ITA Mountain Region Championships (Oct. 16-20).
- The tournament is formatted with two singles flights of 16 and one doubles flight.
- Schools represented in the tournament will be Oregon, Boise State, Loyola Marymount, Northern Colorado, Pacific and Portland.
- Kristian Widen the second year head coach, former Bronco tennis player, and 1996 Boise State graduate was named head men's tennis coach on May 17, 2018.
- He begins his second season with an 11-10 overall record.
- He has been apart of seven conference championships at Boise State, three as a player and four as an assistant.
- Widen has more than 20 years of coaching experience at various levels, including time previously spent on staff at Boise State with both the men's and women's programs.
