REPRESENTING THE BRONCOS

The Broncos will have a total of 8 participants in this year's tournament. All members of the Boise State roster will be competing in this weekend's event.

This year's roster will be returning some familiar faces, but also adding some new ones. The Broncos will be returning four players from last year's team, this includes two seniors Wyatt DeMulling and Ryland McDermott both have been with the Broncos since their freshman year, and both bring a lot of experience and leadership to the team. Sophomore Simon Arca Costas are also back this season.

The roster will be filled out with some new faces for the Broncos, only one new incoming freshmen this year along with three other transfers students. Freshman Kemal Karagozoglu from Port St. Lucie, Fla., will be seeing his first collegiate action this weekend. The three transfer students, junior Blake Bayldon, spent two years at Barry University (Fla.), junior Kyryll Kryvchun who comes from Mesa Community College (Ariz.).

TOURNAMENT FIELD AND FORMAT

In addition to Boise State, this year's tournament will feature players from Denver, Idaho State, Southern Utah, Utah State and Weber State. This tournament will be a "pairs tournament" meaning that each school will divide its roster into two-person pairs/teams who will compete together throughout the tournament in doubles and singles. A pair from each school will play each other first in doubles, then will split and play the same pair in singles in a best of three points format to advance in the bracket. Each person plays one singles match versus a member of the other pair. Match scoring will goes as one point for doubles and one point for each singles match for a total of three points.

There will be a draw of 32 pairs (64 individuals). In addition there will be one consolation draw, lose twice and the pair is out.
