
Parle Takes Gold on Day Two

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Sophomore Yukino Parle led the way for Boise State track and field on day two of the Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships, Friday.

Parle, running in the 5,000-meters clocked a 16:59.21 en route to her first Mountain West Title. Claire Graves joined her in the top five with a third-place finish.

Boise State's medal count now sits at two golds and a bronze.

Caleb Hardy was the top performer for the Boise State men. Hardy qualified for the final in the 200 and 400m. He was one of 14 Broncos to qualify for their respective final.

Running in the men's mile, Henry Mong set the pace, qualifying first followed quickly by Ahmed Muhumed in second and Jonathan Shields in fourth.

The final day of action begins Saturday at 9:30 a.m. MT with the women's high jump. The Blue and Orange are slated to compete in 12 events.
