LEWISTON, Idaho - Boise State men's tennis cruised past instate-rival Idaho 4-1 Sunday afternoon at Lewiston, Idaho. The Broncos claimed the doubles point 2-0, then won three of the first four singles matches powered by wins from Simon Arca Costas, Kyryll Kryvchun and Michael Bott. The victory was the sixth straight for Boise State and the third of the weekend as it moved to 8-1 overall on the season.

Leading 1-0 heading into singles, the Broncos needed only three wins to defeat the Vandals. Arca Costas got things started for the Blue and Orange with a straight set 6-3, 6-3 win on court three over Bruno Casino. The Bronco redshirt-sophomore remains undefeated on the year at 5-0.
Kryvchun moved the Broncos within one of the team victory when he won a tight set one in a tiebreaker, then cruised in the second for the 7-6(6), 6-1 win. He moved to 4-3 overall with the win today.
Idaho pulled to within 3-1 before Boise State put it away. Michael Bott brought home the match clincher on court four where he defeated Matteo Masala 6-1, 4-6, 7-6(2). Bott has now won five in a row after dropping his season opener.
The final two singles contests were not played once the match was clinched. Boise State will be back in action next week when they travel to San Diego, Calif., to face UC San Diego, followed by the Mountain West opener at San Diego State.
