WHAT IS NEXT: Boise State (17-16, 8-4 MW) hits the road this weekend for Albuquerque, N.M., where the Broncos will take on the New Mexico Lobos (4-30, 2-9 MW) in a three game Mountain West Conference series. LAST TIME OUT: Boise State is coming off a busy schedule where they played six games in five days, five at home and one on the road. It began with a MW three-game series sweep last weekend over Utah State in Boise, followed by a pair of defeats on Monday at home to Utah Valley in a doubleheader. The last time out was on Wednesday when they traveled to Pocatello, Idaho, where they beat Idaho State 8-2.Â

SCOUTING BOISE STATE: On the year, Boise State hits .261 (MW 5th), has an ERA of 2.92 (MW 4th) and fielding percentage of .973 (MW 2nd). The Broncos return seven position starters and two pitchers from the 2020 campaign that saw the Broncos go 14-11. In addition, they welcomed back 13 veterans while adding two transfers and eight freshmen. Among the returners are two All-Mountain West honorees in Karlee Johnson and Alison Seng. This year's Boise State team was picked to place fourth out of nine teams in the 2021 league race.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS
HEAD COACH HUFFAKER: Boise State is in its third season under the guidance of Maggie Huffaker who has recorded a 67-43 overall record with the Broncos. Some of Huffaker's accomplishments at Boise State include: one NCAA Regional appearance and one NCAA regional championship appearance; two winning seasons; student-athletes have earned three NFCA All-Region honors and eight All-MW accolades. Academically, her team has earned one NFCA Academic Team Award, nine NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades, 29 Academic All-MW and 20 MW Scholar-Athlete (3.5 or better cumulative GPA) honors.Â
BRONCO LEADERS: Ashlyn Adams leads the MW hitting a league-high .380 with 41 hits, 16 runs and 12 RBI. Kelsey Lalor is hitting .317 (MW 14th) with 33 hits, 23 runs, team-best four triples and eight home runs for 19 RBI. Bella Rocco is next hitting .302 with 26 hits, 10 runs and 17 RBI. Â Hannah Bailey leads the pitching staff with a 1.80 ERA (MW 2nd) and 43 strikeouts, while Sara Johnson has a 2.38 ERA (MW 5th) and 73 strikeouts. Â
MULTIPLE HITS: Ashlyn Adams leads the Broncos with 15 multiple hits games this season, followed by Kelsey Lalor with 10 and Alison Seng with seven each.
ACTIVE REACHED BASE STREAKS: Ashlyn Adams and Bella Rocco are tied for the lead in active hitting streaks having successfully hit and reached base in six-consecutive games entering the weekend. Â Â
MULTIPLE-BASE HITS: To date Boise State has recorded 69 multiple-base hits, led by Kelsey Lalor with 15, which includes three doubles, four triples and eight homers. Jordyn Hutchins is next with 12 on seven doubles and five home runs. Meanwhile, Ashlyn Adams has eight on seven doubles and one home run, followed by Autumn Bennett with seven on four doubles, one triple and two home runs.
