Men's Tennis Continues Fall Campaign at ITA Bedford Cup

USAFA, Colo. – Boise State men's tennis continues the fall season with the first road event of the fall, traveling to Air Force for the ITA Bedford Cup In The Mountains. The event will be held from Sept. 22-24 on the Air Force Outdoor Intercollegiate Tennis Courts. Parking is available in the east and south lots by the Field House. The tennis courts are to the west of the Field House, past the Falcon Athletic Center. All spectators/non-DoD cardholders must enter through the Academy North Gate. Admission is free.

- Boise State will have four student-athletes competing in this week's tournament: senior Teague Burger, sophomore Idriss Haddouch, fifth-year Jan Lucca Marquardt, and senior Caden Moortgat.
- Burger and Haddouch will compete together in doubles, as will Marquardt and Moortgat. This is the first competition of the season for Marquardt and Moortgat.
- In singles, Haddouch and Moortgat will compete in the A Lightning Draw, Marquardt will play in the B Raptor Draw, and Burger will compete in the C Falcon Draw. All doubles matches will be played in the main draw.
- The Broncos opened the season last weekend, hosting the Dar Walters Invite. Burger and Haddouch each won two doubles matches, with Haddouch adding two more victories in singles.
- True freshmen Kyvan Rietkerk and Liam Toroman also competed for the Broncos and combined for a 7-1 singles record.
- The Broncos competed in the Bedford Cup In the Mountains last season, winning two titles and a consolation crown.
- Moortgat was the Eagle Draw singles champion and paired with Sam Sippel to win the main draw doubles crown. Marquardt and Michael Bott won the doubles title in the consolation bracket.
- "We're excited to get on the road and compete against another group of talented players," said associate head coach Daniel Hanstefer. "We will be able to see our upperclassmen compete and continue gaining experience this weekend."
