  • WHAT'S NEXT: Sophomore standout Zdena Safarova will compete in singles at the NCAA Individual Championships, Nov. 19-24, in Waco, Texas. This is the first time in NCAA history that individual champions will be crowned in the fall.
  • FIRST ROUND MATCHUP: Safarova will face fifth-seeded Stanford freshman Valerie Glozman in the round of 64. Glozman qualified for the tournament after reaching the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championships.
  • THE FORMAT AND SCHEDULE: Sixty-four individual athletes will compete in the single elimination tournament, with one round played each day over the six-day event.
  • HOW SHE GOT IN: The sophomore punched her ticket after being victorious at the ITA Mountain Regionals, defeating Nevada's Amahee Charrier in the championship 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
  • IN THE RECORD BOOK: Only three other Boise State women's tennis players have competed in the NCAA singles championships: Gayleen McManus (1996, 1997), Renate Stoop (2001) and Pichittra Thongdach (2010).
  • DOMINATING SINGLES: Safarova boats an undefeated 11-0 record in singles this season.
