Â
Le Moyne (2-12) tied the game in the top of the third, but the Broncos took the lead right back on an RBI-double by Makenzie Butt, her first of a school-record three two-baggers in the game.
Â
In the fourth, the Dolphins tied the game 2-2 before the Broncos seized control with a five-run bottom of the frame. After Groves singled, Megan Lake hit a two-run home run to give Boise State the lead for good. Butt capped the rally with a three-run double.
Â
The Broncos ended the game with a five-run sixth. Mykenzie Hanna led off with her seventh home run of the season to become the third Bronco with 40-career round-trippers. Groves added a three-run home run and Quinn Southerland provided an RBI-double to close out the win.
Â
Boise State came from behind twice in its semifinal triumph. Trailing 1-0 in the first, Sophia Knight singled, stole second and scored on a single by Hanna. An RBI-fielder's choice by Groves gave the Broncos a 2-1 advantage after an inning.
Â
In the third, Butt hit a solo home run to spark a three-run rally as the Broncos regained the lead at 5-4.
Â
Boise State added four in the fifth on a two-run double by Hollie Farmer, a run-scoring single from Leah McAnally and an RBI-ground out by Southerland.
