Broncos Race Past Bobcats for 12th Win

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State's men's tennis raced past the Montana State Bobcats 7-0 on Saturday, the final day of the Spring Fling tournament at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. With the win, 38th-ranked Boise State improved to 12-4 on the year.

Boise State won the doubles point 2-1 over the Bobcats with wins at No. 1 and 2. John Chin and James Van Herzeele recorded the first victory on court two, winning 6-2. Idriss Haddouch and Jett Middleton clinched the team point with their 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles.

Lukas Velik stretched the Boise State advantage to 2-0 with a straight set 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles. Van Herzeele followed with a two-set win, 6-1, 6-4, on court four to put the Broncos with one of the team victory at 3-0.

Middleton secured the match by defeating Dmitry Bezborodov in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.

Boise State closed the match out with victories on court five by Haddouch (6-4, 7-6(3)), on court six where Chin rallied from a set down to win in three, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, and Julius Seifert 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) on court two to complete the sweep.
