Boise State Set For Season Opener at Home

Boise State will open its season at home, taking on Princeton on Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. MT at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Princeton will open its season at Boise State before facing Washington on Jan. 20. This marks only the second match up between the two teams and the first in Boise. The last time Boise State and Princeton faced off was Feb. 25, 2017 in the Blue Gray Classic in Montgomery, Alabama. The Tigers defeated the Broncos, 4-1.

IN THE RANKINGS
In the last singles rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Nov. 25, the Tigers collected three players in the national top 100. Paul Inchauspe came in at 11, Top Nidunjianzan at 98 and Sebastian Sec at 99. On the doubles side, Landon Ardila and Inchauspe ranked 13th nationally, while Meecah Bigun and Sec ranked 45th.

Carson Baker and Avery Tallakson are both one doubles win away from hitting 10 on the season individually. Tallakson is also one victory away from 40 career doubles wins individually.

Boise State has won five regular season conference titles all-time. The Broncos' first year as a member of a conference that played a regular season round robin was 2009 when they were members of the Western Athletic Conference. They went on to win that first WAC title and have since followed with three in the MW (2012, 2014, 2024 and 2025).
