No. 63 Boise State men's tennis is set to host Nevada and UC Irvine at Appleton Tennis Center. The Broncos will face the Wolf Pack on March 20 at 5 p.m. MT before returning to the court to take on the Anteaters on March 22 at 1 p.m. MT.

MOUNTAIN WEST PLAY
Boise State will host Nevada in its first home Mountain West match of the season. The Broncos enter conference play at 0-1 after a 5-2 loss to No. 60 Grand Canyon on Feb. 21.

Nevada enters the match with an 8-3 overall record, including a 4-1 mark on the road. The Wolf Pack will open Mountain West play looking to improve on last season's 2-4 conference record. Nevada is coming off a dominant 7-0 sweep over Weber State in its home opener on March 14. Boise State leads the all-time series 35-25, with the teams tied 10-10 in matches played in Boise.

UC Irvine enters the weekend on a four-match winning streak with a 7-5 overall record. The Anteaters are still searching for their first road win of the season, sitting at 0-4 away from home. They are 2-1 against Mountain West opponents, highlighted by a 4-3 victory over San Diego State and a 4-2 win against Air Force, with their lone loss coming in a 6-1 defeat to Grand Canyon on Jan. 31. Boise State leads the all-time series 8-5, and the matchup marks the first meeting between the two programs in Boise since April 4, 2018.

Five Broncos are approaching the 20-win mark in singles this season. Stewart Aronson, Julius Seifert and Filip Soderqvist each need two more victories, while Avery Tallakson and Lukas Velik are three wins away. MW PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tallakson was named Mountain West Player of the Week on March 18, marking the first of his career and the first for Boise State since March 5, 2025.

Soderqvist was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Feb. 18 and March 11. He now owns two weekly honors this season, accounting for both of Boise State's weekly awards.

The Broncos' first year as a member of a conference that played a regular season round robin was 2009 when they were members of the Western Athletic Conference.
