UP NOW: Boise State (10-2, 4-0) will face arguably its toughest road test of the conference season this coming weekend with New Mexico (6-5, 2-2) and San Diego State (4-7-1, 2-1-1) scheduled for Friday and Sunday, respectively.
BIG TEST FOR FIRST-PLACE BRONCOS: With a perfect 4-0 record, Boise State is alone in first place with the best start to a conference season in program history thanks to a undefeated four-game mark. The Aztecs are the reigning 2017 Mountain West Tournament Champions and currently are in fourth place while the Lobos are off to a solid start and sit in fifth in the conference standings.
LAST TIME OUT: Boise State (10-2, 4-0) extended its winning streak to six games and stayed atop the Mountain West thanks to a pair of wins this last weekend at the Boas Soccer Complex. The Broncos began by defeating Colorado State, 3-0, for the team's sixth shutout of the season while Sunday saw the Blue and Orange take down Wyoming, 2-1.
Raimee Sherle scored four of Boise State's five goals on the weekend while Lillie French scored the other against the Rams for the first goal of her Bronco career. Senior goalkeeper Tara Fisher tallied a career-high 11 saves and earned her sixth shutout of the season against Colorado State.
The Broncos gave up an early goal against the Cowgirls in the ninth minute, but Sherle responded once again and picked up her 10th-career multi-goal game with a brace thanks to goals in the 40th and 54th minutes.
ABOUT NEW MEXICO: The Lobos are winners of four of their last six games, most recently falling to San Jose State on the road, 1-0. Alesia Garcia is the top goal scorer (5 goals) for New Mexico – the No. 2 team in the conference in regards to goals per game (1.82 gpg).
ABOUT SAN DIEGO STATE: The Aztecs have played just one home game through the first four MW contests, as they have done well to earn a 2-1 record on the road including an impressive 1-0 result at San Jose State. Eight different SDSU players have scored so far this season.
MW REGULAR SEASON STREAK: Dating back to last season, Boise State has been able to string together an eight-game MW regular season winning streak and an 11-game MW regular season unbeaten streak. The Blue and Orange have been outstanding against conference opponents as of late, outscoring MW opponents 10-2 so far in 2018.
SHERLE CAN'T BE STOPPED: Sherle swept every possible weekly award thanks to her performance last weekend, as she was named Boise State Athlete of the Week, Mountain West Offensive Athlete of the Week and United Soccer Coaches Division I Women's National Player of the Week.
The talented junior added to her legacy as her four goals last weekend brings her career total to 41 – tying the Mountain West record with Utah's Amy Kofoed (1999-2001). The Meridian, Idaho native has been especially dangerous since the midpoint of the 2017 season, as she has 28 goals over the course of her last 20 games.
Sherle is now the No. 1 goal scorer in the NCAA in 2018 with 16 goals – four goals clear of the No. 2 player on the list.
With 90 career points, she is also just two away from tying the program record held by Shannon Saxton (92 points, 2007-10).

ASSIST LEADER SERRES: Junior forward Kristina Serres still leads the Mountain West with her six assists. No. 18 in the NCAA in the statistic, Serres has been sensational all season on the right side for the Broncos.
PROLIFIC OFFENSE: The Broncos are No. 1 in the Mountain West in both points per game (5.58 ppg) and scoring offense (2.08 gpg). While Sherle's 16 goals is the main reason, McKenna Kynett is still No. 2 individually in the Mountain West with 14 points (6 goals, 2 assists) while Allegra Weeks, Ashleigh Harrison and Lillie French have all scored one goal each.
FISHER ON THE BRINK OF HISTORY: The senior goalkeeper's shutout against Colorado State marked her sixth of the season – putting her first in the MW and No. 16 in the NCAA. In the context of the program record book, Fisher is just two away from tying the single-season record held by Maddy McDevitt, as she earned eight shutouts during the 2013 season.
