Broncos Host Jackson’s/Nike Boise Indoor Invite

NAMPA, Idaho – Following a split weekend on the road, the Boise State track and field teams return home for the Jackson's/Nike Boise Indoor Invite, at the Jackson's Indoor Track in Nampa, Idaho.
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos split the weekend at two meets with a team headed north to Seattle for the UW Invitational and a contingent bound for Texas and the Texas Tech Invitational.
On Friday, Boise State set three personal-bests, while senior Kendra Noneman earned her fourth straight top-five finish to begin the season.
Then on Saturday, the Broncos demolished 14 more PR's across seven events. A pair of junior distance runners ran their way into the record books. In the final event of the meet for the Broncos, Henry Mong ran the third fastest time in school history at 4:04.33. Jacob Grinwis running in the 800-meter finished with a time of 1:51.76, good enough to move him into fifth fastest in program history.
LOGISTICS: The Jackson's/Nike Boise Indoor Invite is a high school/collegiate combo meet. On Friday, college events begin with the women's 4x800m relay at 1:30 p.m. MT. Field events begin at 3 p.m. MT, with the men's weight throw. A break in the action following the men's 200m dash, high school events commence at 5 p.m. MT with the girls 60m dash prelims.Saturday's action resumes with the girls shot put at 9 a.m. MT. Track events begin with the girls miles run at 9:15 a.m. MT.

TICKETS AND PARKING: Tickets are $5 for adults. They are $3 for students with their ID cards, kids 6-12 years old and seniors who are 60 or older. Kids 5 and under get in free, and parking is also free.

If coming from I-84, take Exit 38 and go north approximately one-half mile to the light (E. Franklin Rd.). Go right at the light and continue approximately one-half mile and turn left on Equine Drive. Continue another one-quarter mile and the building will be on the right.
