THIS WEEK
WHAT IS HAPPENING: Boise State (16-3, 4-2 MW) closes the regular season this Saturday at home against the Utah State Aggies (12-7, 3-3 MW) with the start time set for 12 p.m. (Mountain). Due to expected rain this weekend the match will be played at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center with no fans allowed because of the tight confines of the facility. ÂFOLLOW THE ACTION: There will be live scoring for the match this weekend. SENIOR DAY: Saturday will be Senior Day for Wyatt DeMulling and Blake Bayldon who will be playing in their final home contest in the Blue and Orange. The Broncos will honor the seniors with a short pre-match ceremony on Saturday.
THE UTAH STATE SERIES:Â The Broncos and Aggies are entering their 32 meeting all time in the series with Boise State leading 24-7 since 1987, however, Utah State has won seven-straight matches.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS
SOLID DOUBLES:Â Boise State has been strong in doubles this year and have gone a combined 30-13 for a winning percentage of .698.BAYLDON & ARCA COSTAS:Â Bayldon and Arca Costas received All-MW Doubles honors after compiling a 14-2 record last year, including a 7-2 record while playing at the No. 1 position during dual competitions. This year the tandem has gone 6-2 with all eight matches on court one.
SINGLES STREAKING:Â All nine Broncos have winning records in singles and the team as a whole has dominated singles all season long going a combined 70-20 (.778) across all matches.Â
SIMON ARCA COSTAS: This year the redshirt-sophomore is a team-best 13-2 in singles having split his time between the No. 1 through 4 positions. The Spaniard won his 50th career singles match in the blue and orange at Nevada on April 9 and has since stretched it to 53.Â
WYATT DEMULLING: DeMulling was a 2020 All-MW singles honoree. This year he has gone 12-1 in singles playing primarily at the four lower positions, he has an active 10-match win streak going. DeMulling won his 60th career match at Nevada on April 9 and has since won 63, he is six wins short of the program's top-20 list for career victories.
LAWRENCE SCIGLITANO:Â Sciglitano has won six straight in singles splitting time between the No. 4 thru 6 positions and is currently 8-1 overall. The redshirt-sophomore has the most wins at the No. 6 position for the Broncos this season with four.Â
MW PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Boise State has had five Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Players of the Week so far this season with Kyryll Kryvchun earning it on Jan. 27, Luka Soskic on Feb. 24, Simon Arca Costas on March 10 and 17, as well as Blake Bayldon on March 24.
THE MAN IN CHARGE: Kristian Widen is in his third year in charge of the men's program at Boise State where he has recorded back-to-back winning seasons, his record currently stands at 34-19. Widen has been a part of seven conference championships at Boise State, three as a player and four as an assistant coach.
