WHAT'S HAPPENING
Boise State (10-5) is on the road this weekend traveling to the Spokane, Wash., area for two. The Broncos will open the action Friday at 2 p.m. (MT) at Eastern Washington (2-10) in Cheney, then close the weekend at Gonzaga (9-3) in Spokane at noon (MT) on Sunday.

THE SERIES VS. EWU
Boise State owns a 11-0 advantage in the series versus the Eagles since the 1988 season. The last time these two met was in 2017 at Boise where the Broncos won 6-1. 

THE SERIES VS. GONZAGA
This will be the 10th meeting since the 1997 season with the Broncos leading the all-time series 7-2. The Broncos won last year's encounter 4-3 in Boise, while Gonzaga won the previous two meetings by 4-3 scores in 2020 at Spokane and at Boise in 2019.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State closed a five-match homestand last weekend with a pair of wins over No. 55 Denver by a 4-3 score and over LMU, 6-1. The

IN THE RANKINGS
Boise State moved up in the ITA's top-75 this week from No. 64 to 58. It is the first time that the Broncos have been in the top-75 since the final rankings of 2015 when they were No. 59.

LEADING THE BRONCOS
Arca Costas currently leads Boise State with a team-high 14 singles victories (14-8) this season. The senior also leads in career singles victories with 67, 21st all-time in school history.

Jan Lucca Marquardt comes in with the second-most singles victories this season at 11-10.

In team duals, the Broncos are led by their No. 1 tandem of Arca Costas and Caden Moortgat who are 6-5 overall, 4-5 on court one, and 2-0 on court two.

IMPACT FRESHMEN
Boise State added two freshmen at semester break in Pedro Liborio (Caldas Da Rainha, Portugal) and James Van Herzeele (Phuket, Thailand), both have impacted the team's success to date. Liborio is the five-time MW Freshman of the Week going 7-7 overall this spring and 5-5 at No. 1 singles, while Van Herzeele had gone 8-5 in singles, splitting time between the No. 4 through 6 positions.
