Boise State Opens Thursday with 4-2 Win Over Idaho State

BOISE, Idaho – Ryo Minakata's 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles clinched the Boise State victory as the Broncos rallied to defeat the Idaho State Bengals 4-2 Thursday morning at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center in Boise.

It was the first of two contests scheduled for the Blue and Orange on Thursday as the 59th-ranked Broncos improved to 10-4 overall with the win.

Boise State entered the singles competition trailing 1-0, following ISU winning the team doubles point 2-1.

James Van Herzeele drew Boise State even when he rolled to a straight-set victory 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 3 singles position.

Simon Arca Costas gave the Broncos a 2-1 advantage when he won in two sets 6-3, 6-2 on court two.
