Broncos Fall to Denver

3/4/2023 7:10:00 PM | Men's Tennis

LOS ANGELES – Boise State men's tennis came up on the short end of a 4-0 score against the Denver Pioneers Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles. The loss snaps a three-match wins streak for the Broncos as they move to 6-3 overall.

The Pioneers claimed the doubles point with victories on courts two and three.

The Broncos needed to win four of the six contests, down one heading into singles play. However, it was not Boise State's day as Denver won three straight matches on courts four, one and three to clinch the team victory.

Simon Arca Costas and John Chin were both leading their contests in the third set, while Ryo Minakata was leading his match in the second when play was abandoned with the clinching of the team victory.

What's Next

Boise State will wrap up its three-match road trip to California on Sunday when the Broncos take on the LMU Lions at noon (Mountain) in Los Angeles.
