Broncos Open Season with Two Tournaments

Boise State men's tennis opens the 2024 fall campaign this week with two tournaments. The first is the Dar Walters Classic hosted by Boise State this Friday through Sunday at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus and Julia Davis Park. The second is the Battle of the Bay in San Francisco, hosted by the University of San Francisco.
 

Need to Know

  • Battle of the Bay: The action starts Thursday in San Francisco, where redshirt-senior Jett Middleton and freshman Lukas Velik (Prague, Czechia) will compete in the four-day Battle of the Bay.
  • Dar Walters Classic: The Broncos are hosting the Dar Walters Classic this Friday through Sunday at the Appleton Tennis Center and Julia Davis Park.
  • Dar Walters Format: This is the annual mini-dual competition, in which teams of two compete in singles and doubles against other pairs. This year, the competition includes 27 pairs divided into two brackets.
  • Dar Walters Field: The field includes representatives from the Broncos, Air Force, BYU, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana State, Nevada, Portland and Weber State.
  • Parking: Parking will be in the west stadium lot between Albertsons Stadium and ExtraMile Arena; use the kiosks and select the men's tennis option.
  • Admission: Admission to the Dar Walters Classic is free of charge.
  • How to Follow: The Dar Walters Classic will feature a live stream for the matches played at Appleton Tennis Center.
  • Representing the Broncos: Representing the Blue and Orange at the Dar Walters Classic will be freshmen Dylan Jaen (Hilton Head, S.C.) and Adam Duda (Prague, Czechia).
