Broncos Record Nine First-Place Finishes

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Boise State track and field team recorded nine first-place finishes at the Spokane Indoor Challenge, Saturday.
Freshman Aayden Simmons was victorious in two different events. He began the day with a win in the men's high jump (2.15m) followed by a top finish in the triple jump (15:03m).
Boise State had immense success in the long jump as two Broncos won their respective events. Emily Stefan captured first in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.86m, while Raekwon Weatherspoon (7.36m) claimed the top spot in the men's long jump.
Victoria Lotz, a fifth-year student-athlete, bested the field in weight throw and recorded a distance of 17.32m. Later in the day, she competed in the shot put, where she had a throw of 14.72m, the fifth-farthest mark in school history.
Tanner Nett also had success in the shot put. He won the event, registering a throw of 17.08m to close the meet.
Chase Lawyer etched himself into the record book on Saturday iÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂn the 60m hurdles. He completed the event in 7.94 seconds, taking first overall and collecting the fifth-fastest time in school history.
Brynnli Poulsen and Priscilla Adu-Gyamfi each won their events. Poulsen won the women's one-mile with a time of 5:04.99 and Adu-Gyamfi paced the field in the women's 300m completing the race in 38.73 seconds.
The mixed 4x400 relay team of Adu-Gyamfi, Trevor Cogley, Shyniece Davis and Josh Green picked up the final win of the day for the Broncos with a time of 3:33.83.

- Breasia Robert posted a time of 7.51q in the 60m prelims (fourth fastest in program history).
- Victoria Lotz recorded the fifth-longest shot put throw (14.72m) in Boise State history.
- Chase Lawyer posted the fifth-fastest time in school history in the 60m hurdle.
- The Broncos recorded two top-three relay finishes.
