Broncos head off to Pocatello for the ISU Invitational

Boise State’s men’s tennis team will be traveling to Pocatello, Idaho, this weekend Friday through Sunday (Oct. 4-6) for the Idaho State Invitational.

Boise State's men's tennis team will be traveling to Pocatello, Idaho, Friday through Sunday to compete in the Idaho State Invitational their second tournament of the fall campaign. Play is set to begin at 8:15 a.m. (MT)Â Friday morning with four qualifying doubles matches at Reed gym with the remainder of the tournament played at Capell Park weather permitting.REPRESENTING THE BRONCOS
For this week's tournament, the Blue and Orange will be traveling everyone while six of the athletes from the roster will be competing.Blake Bayldon and Kyryll Kryvchun are coming off their championship at the Dar Walters Fall Classic on Sept. 22. The two will be looking to keep that same energy and bring it to this week's tournament.
While Wyatt DeMulling and Simon Arca Costas placed second at the Dar Walters Fall Classic. They both will be looking to improve on that is upcoming weekend. While Ryland McDermott and Kemal Karagozoglu will make their presence known as players that should not be underestimated.Â
TOURNAMENT FIELD AND FORMAT
In addition to Boise State and Idaho State the tournament will feature players from Montana State, Montana, Air Force and Weber State. The tournament will have one draw for doubles and three singles draws.COACH WIDEN
Kristian Widen the second year head coach, former Bronco tennis player, and 1996 Boise State graduate was named head men's tennis coach on May 17, 2018. He begins his second season with an 11-10 overall record. He has been apart of seven conference championships at Boise State, three as a player and four as an assistant. Widen has more than 20 years of coaching experience at various levels, including time previously spent on staff at Boise StatePlayers Mentioned
