BRONCOS HOST FOR THE LAST TIME
- Boise State (11-8, 1-5 MW) hosts its last home match of the season against the Utah State Aggies (17-8, 5-1 MW) on Saturday at the Appleton Tennis Center, at 11 a.m. if weather permits.
- It will be Senior Day for the Broncos as they honor Jack Heslin and Max Blancaneaux playing in their final home contest.Â
LAST TIME OUT
- The Broncos return home after a jam packed weekend on the road. Boise State came up short in Reno, Nev., Friday afternoon as the Wolf Pack defeated the Broncos 4-2. Nevada ran ahead early on after the Broncos dropped the doubles point 2-0, then the first two singles matches. Jack Heslin and Simon Arca Costas finally put the Broncos on the board with a pair of singles wins, but Nevada took the match.Â
- Boise State then hit the road to compete in another Mountain West match against Fresno State at Fresno, Calif., on Sunday. Wyatt DeMulling and Simon Stenlund put the Broncos on the board in doubles after defeating Henrique Osorio and Cem Erturk 6-3 on court three. With the score tied at 1-1 in doubles, Simon Arca Costas and Luka Soskic gained the team point for the Broncos after defeating the Bulldogs' Angus Bradshaw and Cagatay Soke in a tiebreaker 7-6. In singles, DeMulling recorded the lone Boise State win 7-5, 6-1 on court three. However, Fresno State rallied on the day to defeat the Broncos 4-2 for the team victory.Â
