Broncos Set for Conference Championship

Boise State will compete at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State track and field teams will head to Clovis, Calif. for the 2019 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 8-11.

LOGISTICS
For the second-straight year, the conference meet will be held at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. The championships will begin on Wednesday with the start of the multis, Thursday being the conclusion of the decathlon and heptathlon, as well as both 10,000-meter races.

Field events will start at 3:30 p.m. MT on Friday, with the preliminary rounds of the track events starting at 6 p.m. Saturday's action will start in the field at 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. on the track.

FOLLOW LIVE

WOMEN BACK IN THE RANKINGS
After spending two weeks outside of the top 25, the women's programs is back to appearing in the USTFCCCA Rankings Index. In this week's poll, the Broncos checked in at No. 20.

ALLIE O TOPS IN THE NATION
A victory in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase gave redshirt junior Allie Ostrander the fastest time in the nation in the event at 9:45.66. Ostrander also own the fastest time collegiately in the 10,000-meter, and ranks 12th in the 1,500-meter.

WEST PRELIMINARY ROUND ON THE HORIZON
This week's action will be the final opportunity for Boise State athletes to run top 48 marks in the West Region, which would give them a bid to the West Preliminary Round, May 23-25. Boise State currently has 13 entries in contention — currently ranked in the top 50 — on the women's side, and seven on the men's side.
