
Broncos Finish Fifth and Seventh in Oregon

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Boise State men's cross country garnered a fifth-place finish and the women secured seventh in a field of nationally-ranked programs at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, Thursday.
The men were paced by freshman Ahmed Ibrahim who finished sixth (23:30.2). Senior Logan Rees followed closely behind Ibrahim, placing 10th (23:32.8).
Joining Ibrahim and Rees in the Broncos scoring five were Jonathan Shields (24th-place finish), Jack Leitch (33) and Dario De Caro (39).
On the women's side, junior Tyler Beling and senior Olivia Johnson were the first two Boise State runners across the finish line for a second-straight race. Beling notched a 27th-place finish (20:35.9) and Johnson took 30th (20:42.9).
Senior Yukino Parle (44) was the third Bronco to finish the women's 6k, followed by freshman Autumn Ost (52) and junior Sailor Hutton (72).
Next, Boise State closes out its regular season meet schedule in Madison, Wis., at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational hosted by Wisconsin, Oct. 18. In 2019, the Broncos finished atop the Mountain West squads competing, with the women notching a seventh-place finish out of 34 teams and the men placing 12th out of 33.
