The match came down to the final singles contest of the night, in which Pedro Liborio rallied to win in a third-set tiebreaker to clinch the team victory.

BOISE, Idaho - Pedro Liborio's singles victory Friday night on court one handed Boise State its fourth-consecutive 4-3 victory, this time against 55th-ranked Denver at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. The match was tied 3-3 when all eyes turned to the No. 1 singles match where the Bronco freshman was taking on DU's top player, James Davis.

Liborio rallied three times before finally putting the match away for the Blue and Orange. After dropping the opening frame 2-6, he rallied from 4-3 down to win the second set 7-5, pushing the contest into a decisive third. Tied at 6-6 in the third, they went to a tiebreaker. The Bronco freshman found himself down 4-1 in the tiebreaker when he regrouped and rallied with six-consecutive points to clinch his third match in a row for Boise State with a 2-6, 7-5, 7-6(4) win.

Liborio believed he could pull it out for the Broncos, "I'm happy with this win. He (Davis) was playing really well, but I just wanted to keep fighting because I still believed that I could win this. My teammates were there supporting me, so I wanted to get this win for them. Not just for me, but for them. They helped me a lot."

Head coach Beck Roghaar was proud of Liborio, "You know, you can't say enough about Pedro, for him to be clinching matches this early in his career and performing in moments like that. Obviously, we feel his future is bright, and he still has room to grow. But when it comes down to it, the guy is just nails, he's one of the tougher competitors I've been around. To see him in those moments, six-straight points in the tiebreaker to finish that match, I'm incredibly proud of him."

Roghaar was excited about the win, "You know, these guys went out and played incredible tennis. I thought it was a really gutsy performance. We knew this was going to be a tough match, and after dropping that doubles point, we knew we had a steep hill to climb and a big job to do. The way that we dug in and had our backs against the wall, we just came up with the goods today. It was just awesome. I'm really proud and really happy for them to come through and get this one."

Denver jumped out to the early lead in the contest at 1-0 after winning the doubles point 2-0 over the Broncos.

Down one, Boise State stormed back, taking the first three singles matches completed to go up 3-1 on the Pioneers. The rally began on court four, where Caden Moortgat dispatched Denver's Peter Sally in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. The victory was the eighth of the year for the sophomore from Texas.

Simon Arca Costas extended Boise State's advantage when he put away Nicolas Herrera Cuesta at No. 2 singles in two sets by 6-4, 6-2 scores. The senior extended his team-high for singles wins in a season and career to 13 and 66, respectively. He is now 21st all-time in career wins in program history.

Minakata moved the Blue and Orange within one of victory when he handed Daniel Krulig a straight-set 6-3, 6-3 defeat at No. 6 singles, the junior's sixth win in team duals and the eighth this year.

Down two at 3-1, Denver rallied to pull even at 3-3 with victories at No. 3 and 5 singles that set the stage for Liborio's heroics at No. 1 singles.

The Broncos will be back in action Sunday morning when they host LMU at 11 a.m. to close the five-match homestand, tentatively scheduled for the Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
